Let us never forget the tragedy of 911, the lives that were lost, and the lives that were devastated. 911 took so much from us -- but it also gave us much.
Things that we always took for granted now take on new meaning. We were rocked to the core.
America was not the only country to be so affected.
As we continue to live in this veil of tears, let us always remember the sacrifices that were made along the way.
America is still great.

And, in this time of war against terrorism, a special tribute goes out to my brother, who was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps back when I was young. You know what they say, though... once a Marine ... always a Marine. Semper Fi! I love you big brother, and I'm proud of the part you played back then. I still have the plaque that you gave your kid sister when you graduated from Parris Island. As soon as I locate it in my boxes, it will be posted here.

And... a special tribute for my little 4-footed baby, Heidi.
She disappeared in a thunderstorm in July 2002. We miss you so much, Heidi, and are still looking for you and believing that you'll make it back to us. You and I have been through so much together. I've shed buckets of tears into your fur, and you're the greatest that ever was. I love you so very much, and, if you can't make it home, at least be safe.
